Hello there, my name is Jules and I specialize in couples therapy, helping couples resolve conflict, deepen their emotional bond, and create a secure attachment.
Most couples come to relationship counseling because something no longer feels right, not because they have failed. Maybe you find yourselves stuck in the same arguments, struggling to communicate, or feeling emotionally distant from one another. Sometimes the connection has disappeared; other times, a specific event such as betrayal, loss, or a major life transition has shaken the foundation of your relationship.
Some couples seek therapy when trust has been broken, intimacy feels strained, or differences around parenting, finances, or values begin to create ongoing tension. Even strong relationships can feel overwhelmed by stress, change, or unmet emotional needs.
This does not mean that the relationship has to be over, nor does it mean that you have to tolerate an unsatisfying or disconnected partnership.
Emotionally focused therapy offers a supportive, structured space where we slow things down to understand what’s happening deep beneath the surface and learn new ways of relating that foster closeness, security, and respect.
At its heart, couples therapy is about helping you reconnect with each other and with yourselves.

The success rate of couples therapy varies depending on the couple and their unique situation. However many couples and individuals overcome relationship issues and improve their overall well-being. For couples in EFT therapy, 70-75% move from distress to recovery and approximately 90% show significant improvements.
Jules graduated from the University of Warwick with a First Class Honours degree in Person-centred Counselling and the Psychotherapeutic Relationship.
I completed ICEFT Externship and Core Skills Training in Emotionally Focussed Couples Therapy (EFCT) and in Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy EFIT.
During your first session, Jules will ask you questions about your relationship history, how you met, what were the early days like and when did things start to go off the rails. Together you will then create and agree a shared agenda for the therapy. Jules will then meet you individually and find out about your family history and the relationship styles and rules that were modelled to you by caregivers. Sessions can be at the office in Rugby CV232PN or online via Zoom.
